Roy Nystrom Arena
In December 2011, “Blue Rink” #1 was renamed and dedicated to longtime Albert Lea boys’ head hockey coach Roy Nystrom. Roy retired in 2017 with an overall coaching record of 705-499-23 (612 of those wins were with Albert Lea). He was inducted into the ALHS Athletic Hall of Fame in July 2023.
Carol Colstrup Arena
In March 2012, Rink #2 was renamed and dedicated to Carol Colstrup who was a founding member of the Albert Lea Figure Skating Club and was an instructor for more than 50 years.
